Meet the new Fondo MARENA team

Recently the CBF Partner Fund in the Dominican Republic, Fondo MARENA made some changes to its team, so we thought we would remind you about the MARENA's work and meet the new team with some photos. MARENA stands for Fundo "Nacional para el Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales" which translates to National Fund for the Environment and Natural Resources.
The MARENA team, headed by engineer Judith Valdez as Executive Director, is committed to fulfilling its functions in compliance with law 64-00 under which it was created. MARENA continues to work hard to strengthen the institution as well as to comply with the guidelines of the Government and President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, implementing a comprehensive state policy for the conservation and protection of the environment.
MARENA was created to develop and finance programmes and projects for the protection, conservation, research, education, restoration and sustainable use of the environment and natural resources for the benefit of natural communities and people. It is a legal, independent endowment fund with its own administration and jurisdiction throughout the Domincan Republic. It is regulated by Decree 783-09 of the Executive Branch of 21 October 2009.

Conoce al nuevo equipo de Fondo MARENA

Recientemente el Fondo de Socios de CBF en República Dominicana, Fondo MARENA hizo algunos cambios en su equipo, por lo que pensamos en recordarles sobre el trabajo de MARENA y conocer al nuevo equipo con algunas fotos. MARENA significa Fundo "Nacional para el Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales", que se traduce en Fondo Nacional para el Medio Ambiente y los Recursos Naturales.
El equipo de MARENA, encabezado por la ingeniera Judith Valdez como Directora Ejecutiva, está comprometido con el cumplimiento de sus funciones en cumplimiento de la ley 64-00 bajo la cual fue creado. MARENA continúa trabajando arduamente para fortalecer la institución y cumplir con los lineamientos del Gobierno y Presidente de la República Dominicana, Luis Abinader, implementando una política estatal integral para la conservación y protección del medio ambiente.
MARENA fue creado para desarrollar y financiar programas y proyectos para la protección, conservación, investigación, educación, restauración y uso sostenible del medio ambiente y los recursos naturales en beneficio de las comunidades naturales y las personas. Es un fondo patrimonial legal e independiente con su propia administración y jurisdicción en toda la República Dominicana. Está regulado por el Decreto 783-09 del Poder Ejecutivo de 21 de octubre de 2009.
